Job overview

The governors of Freethorpe Community Primary School and Nursery, and Fleggburgh CofE VC Primary School are looking to appoint an inspirational and dedicated Executive Headteacher to work within the partnership of their schools at an exciting time in their development. The successful candidate will continue to develop and consolidate the partnership of both of these schools and will have a vision to expand the partnership in the future. The schools are currently undergoing the process of federating, with a view to completing on 1st April 2018.

Our schools are situated at the heart of their villages, both within the Acle cluster, and both have a strong family ethos and are an active part of the local community.

We have enthusiastic and hardworking pupils, keen to develop their learning and be the best they can be. Our experienced SLT can provide support to the Executive Head Teacher, alongside which we have hard working and experienced staff that are willing and keen to develop professionally. The Governing Board of each school is keen to consolidate and develop the partnership between the schools and progress the federation.

Our vision for our new Executive Headteacher:

  • A child centred approach, putting the learning needs of all children at the heart of school policy and practice
  • A dynamic and creative approach to developing teaching and learning within the primary and nursery age range
  • A proven track record in leadership and management of primary schools with experience of nursery through to Year 6

The post holder will need to be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing in order to undertake the requirements of the role.
