The governors of Merriott First School and Haselbury Plucknett Church of England First School are seeking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational head teacher to lead their federation forward. Both school environments are friendly and inclusive and are set at the heart of supportive village communities.

The successful candidate will:

• Promote a love of learning 
• Aspire to outstanding outcomes for all pupils
• Inspire, motivate and lead a talented team of dedicated and enthusiastic professionals, who are committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for their pupils
• Build on the very positive developments made in recent years and champion a culture of continuous improvement, showing vision, creativity and strong leadership
• Possess energy, enthusiasm and an ambitious ‘can do’ approach, whilst showing excellent communication and organisational skills
• Work to promote the vision, values and ethos of both schools, whilst respecting the distinctive nature and status of each
• Work with and alongside parents and governors, in the best interests of all pupils
• Be a strong advocate for the schools within the local and wider communities, striving for changes that support outstanding provision for all
• Work closely with other local schools in the CISP group to ensure a positive educational experience for all
