Job overview

The successful candidate will work across the two current Wirral Primaries (Co-op Academies Woodslee and Portland), but we have anticipated future primary expansion in the area.  We are looking for an outstanding practitioner with a proven track record of ensuring outstanding progress and outcomes for pupils. The right candidate will be looking for the next step in their career but have their heart set in the practice of teaching and learning and making a positive difference to pupils and colleagues.

The successful candidate will need to have knowledge of working within Year Six, particularly teaching English and maths, and demonstrate a track record of maximising outcomes for pupils. They will know in detail the National Curriculum and Education Inspection Framework expectations including the methodology of an inspection ‘Deep Dive’. Co-op Academies Trust will be committed to developing your leadership skills, including to prepare you for senior leadership through professional programmes such as NPQH or an opportunity to become a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE). You will already be a high performing teacher and ready to support other colleagues, including less experienced staff and ECTs in their journey to excellence. Working across these schools you will work closely with the Regional Director and the headteachers to develop strategic responsibility and acquire unique skills working across differing settings to develop your own leadership capacity and potential for the future.

As an outstanding teacher it will be imperative to deliver and model high quality sessions. You will be prepared to support colleagues in developing best practice and work toward targeted outcomes for pupils. As a leader you will help develop and support curriculum implementation as well as working with other key leaders in setting priorities and targets for success. This is a new role that is exciting, unique and will make a difference to the outcomes and life chances of pupils.
