Stour Vale Academy Trust is seeking to recruit a highly motivated, dedicated and inspirational primary headteacher to the role of Executive Leader for Schools from 1st September 2023. The role of an Executive Leader for Schools at Stour Vale is to provide expert challenge and support for headteachers as they drive school improvement within their schools. The Executive Leaders work as a team, each responsible for a number of schools within Stour Vale and together leading trust-wide projects and developments. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced headteacher with a passion for school improvement and improving the life opportunities for children and young people to add to our collective capacity to support continuous improvement in member schools and schools who are on the journey to joining Stour Vale. At this key point in Stour Vale’s growth and development, the successful candidate will also play a substantial role in working collaboratively with headteachers and the central and executive team to create the structures and processes which will enable us to be a larger, successful family of schools. Executive Leaders for Schools must be committed to Stour Vale’s mission, ethos and values and to secure autonomy; our approach to working with member

schools.

Stour Vale’s central team are based at the Whittingham Road campus of Halesowen College, which is ideally located for the team to frequently visit the current member schools, which are located within Sandwell and Dudley.

Stour Vale is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All necessary safeguarding checks will be undertaken and must have satisfactory outcomes, otherwise the conditional job offer may be withdrawn.
