Brigantia Learning Trust is a highly successful Multi Academy Trust located in the North East of Sheffield. It is dedicated to improving the life chances, securing social mobility and justice for children, young people and their families within the communities it serves. Longley Park Sixth Form is an integral and pivotal cog within the Trust wheel and is strongly placed to remain at the forefront of educational excellence within the city.
Having been consistently judged ‘Good’ by OFSTED, we are looking to find a successor for our highly successful Principal to take Longley Park Sixth Form to the next level. As the post-16 sector adapts to new ways of working amid the demands of the new qualifications framework, we are seeking to appoint a highly capable leader who can demonstrate they have experience of leading high achieving institutions or teams and the confidence and credibility to work with business and educational partnerships alike.
The Trust is looking for someone with significant experience within the sector who can lead the academy to be an outstanding educational provider. The role would be suitable for those with senior leadership experience in secondary education or above (eg 11-18,16-19, FE, HE)
As an effective communicator and leader, you should be able to build on the Academy's strong and diverse foundations of success.
You should have a strong track record of leadership and management in a large organisation with a strong commitment to working within the Trust’s social values and ethos.
Key qualities you should possess are integrity, experience, expertise, a passion for education and for working with learners to help them achieve their full potential.
This role presents a key opportunity for an individual with vision, drive, determination, resilience and enthusiasm to lead Sheffield’s only Sixth Form of its type, in a way which incorporates high quality education and training provision and the facility to support or encourage social mobility.
