We are looking for a talented Headteacher, or Executive Headteacher, who has a successful track record of primary school improvement and experience of working across a cluster of schools. You will join a highly collaborative and effective team of Executive Principals, a Primary Director and Deputy Primary Director, and take responsibility for ensuring great outcomes in a group of our academies.
Primary education at Harris consists of 22 academies in and around London, some of which are the highest performing in the country, with many located in areas of disadvantage. You will be a successful headteacher with the experience and confidence to work collaboratively with other Principals in order to bring about rapid school improvement. The successful applicant should be able to work flexibly, prioritising the needs of different academies, and travel around London will also be required. We want a senior leader with proven strengths in engaging, inspiring and motivating staff and communities.
The Harris Federation is a successful, highly collaborative and enterprising group of academies in and around London. Our network of academies is setting standards of excellence through an experienced and supportive approach with the aim that every child in London can have the best possible education, enabling them to fulfil their potential and decide their own future. The focus of the Harris Federation is on transforming some of the most challenging schools in London into exceptional places of learning.
Why work for the Harris Federation?
The Harris Federation is the leading large Multi Academy Trust in the country for both primary and secondary education, and has an unrivalled track record in raising standards and achieving success for the children in our academies. Harris is a Federation and not a chain; each academy is different, reflecting the particular aspirations and leadership style of its Principal. All of our primary and secondary academies are rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and we are recognised for transforming the life chances of the children that we educate.
You can help us transform education in London, and create exceptional places of learning.
Informal conversations are welcomed and visits to our academies are highly encouraged. If you would like to discuss the post in confidence please call Sabeena Hasan, Primary Director, on 020 8253 7777. For further information, please contact email@example.com.
Harris academies are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, and where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check will be completed for all applicants. In line with our commitments to safeguarding, the Harris Federation uses preferred agencies and is unable to work with any agencies where Terms of Business have not been agreed by both parties prior to an engagement. Harris Federation is fully committed to equality and to valuing diversity as an employer and a provider of education.
