Nelson and Colne College, an Outstanding College in Pendle with unparalleled benefits, are looking for and experienced and diligent Expenditure / Admin Officer to join their close-knit and dedicated Finance team on a full time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week 

The successful candidates will possess high levels of accuracy and attention to detail as they register all invoices onto the College’s finance system, handle supplier queries and support with the production of the weekly payment run.


The main duties include:

• Scan and register invoices on the finance system and disperse to relevant departments as appropriate

• Process to the ledger any non-order invoices, ensuring accurate coding

• Ensure all invoices have the appropriate authorisations from the budget holder

• Support with the production of the weekly payment run

• Liaise with departments where suppliers are chasing payment to ensure accurate communication and payment is met

• Review the invoice register to ensure any old invoices are actively chased and copies requested.


The ideal candidates will have:

• 4 GCSEs or equivalent qualifications including Maths and English at grade C or above

• Experience of working in a busy office environment 

• Experience of working with suppliers and liaising with customers

• Experience of working on a computerised system 

• Excellent analytical, numeric and comprehensive skills
