EXPERIENCED ADVANCED LEVEL PHYSICS & CHEMISTRY TEACHER

Bordeaux International School has a vacancy for a well-qualified and experienced teacher of Advanced Level Physics and Chemistry to small groups of motivated students in a truly international environment.

Suitable candidates should be fluent English speakers and have previous experience and a thorough knowledge of the University of Cambridge A-Level Examination syllabus. They should also show enthusiasm for science and the ability to inspire the same enthusiasm in high school students.

The duties will include creating interesting, motivating and differentiated lesson plans, preparing and delivering lessons, creating and supervising laboratory activities for students, evaluating student performance, maintaining classroom records, meeting with parents, teachers and other professionals and participating in general school events.

We are offering a part-time position comprising 17 teaching hours per week, spread over three days (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday) to be filled as soon as possible.

4.5 hrs AS-Level Physics
4.5 hrs A-Level Physics
4.5 hrs AS Chemistry
1:5 hrs A2 Chemistry (1:1 student:teacher ratio)
2.25 hrs STEM Key Stage Three

Salary: (from November 2017 - mid June 2018)  2000€ gross per month (plus profit sharing scheme for all employees).

Candidates must have a valid working paper for France.
This post is a fixed term contract (CDD), that may become permanent after a period of two years, when the member of staff also becomes a member of the school governing body - managed by a co-operative (SCOP).
