Job overview

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated Key Stage 2 Teacher with experience in the British Curriculum to join our team. Our school is located in Abuja, Nigeria and we encourage Nigerians who have gained valuable teaching experience overseas to apply for this role, as we are looking for candidates who can bring back their knowledge and skills to the country.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the British Curriculum, tailored to the needs of the students
  • Use a range of teaching methods and resources to promote active learning and facilitate student progress
  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and promotes positive behavior
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and implement cross-curricular activities and events
  • Participate in professional development activities and keep up-to-date with the latest teaching strategies and technologies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related field with teaching certificate
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience teaching Key Stage 2 in the British Curriculum
  • Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Positive minded and willing to contribute to the growth of the school
  • Proactive in bringing forth new ideas and initiatives to improve the school's performance and reputation
