This opportunity has arisen through covering maternity leave. The governors have agreed a position available for the full academic year 2018-2019 (with an earlier start if possible). We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, committed and innovative professional to join the effective and forward-looking Upper School leadership team at our secondary provision. We need a leader with strong secondary leadership experience at Deputy Head level and a vision for excellent, inclusive education.
This is a perfect opportunity for a candidate who will be seeking Headship within the next 2 years, but wants experience in a second large all-through school before taking up a headship. It is a unique opportunity for a secondment to our Upper School leadership team.
The successful applicant will have a proven record of successful school leadership at Deputy Head level. They will be expected to work with the Head in leading our Upper School and will have the flexibility to complement the skills and experience of other team members.
They will be expected to build on existing excellent practice, as well as leading developments in several whole school areas such as Safeguarding, Learning & Teaching, Finance, Premises Strategy, Appraisal, Curriculum Design and Self Evaluation. The specific brief will be negotiated on appointment.
