Birmingham Independent College (BIC) is an independent specialist provision teaching high performing, functional and complex needs students with ASD, SLD, ADHD and Down’s Syndrome.
Our facilities are registered for 74 students, with agreed capacity of 35 SEN students aged 14-25. BIC’s focus is to ensure all students are able to meet their fullest potential in-line with the college practice for continuous growth towards educational excellence and creating opportunities for students to improve their creative intelligence. Our staff strive to be a beacon of support, whilst developing innovative learning schemes to increase the academic and vocational potential of every student.
BIC is seeking two:
Experienced qualified SEN Teaching Assistants (male and female). You will be required to deliver 1:1 and to small teaching groups of SEN students. You must have a minimum of 2 years UK teaching experience working with student with SEND.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
