We have designed a school to work with and for children; a school that ensures every child meets their potential and will be those most likely to succeed in the 21st century. Have you got what it takes to join our dynamic and hard working team?

We are looking to recruit a committed class teacher (Senior Learning Associate) with EYFS and/ or KS1 teaching experience to join us in reimagining schooling and on our journey to excellence.

Liberty Woodland School is an innovative, progressive outdoor school where we:

  • Take a rigorous approach to teaching and learning across the curriculum inspired by our 3 acre outdoor site
  • Teach through a project based cross-curricular learning approach. Projects are designed with the children’s interests in mind providing authentic learning opportunities and driven towards meaningful end goals.
  • Take a ‘stage not age’ approach to planning and teaching
  • Work hard as a team; strive for the very best outcomes for pupils and continually seek to respond to what research tells us about how children learn best
  • Know that by putting physical and mental health at the heart of what we do makes for children who are happy, kind, self-aware and eager to learn
  • Are open for children from Monday- Thursday and on Fridays meet as a staff team for CPD and PPA

We are looking for a class teacher who:

  • Has a passion for outdoor education (experience beneficial, but not essential)
  • Is reflective, open to feedback and driven to constantly improve as a teacher
  • Is a team player who goes the extra mile day in day out for the children in their care?

We offer in return:

  • A conscientious Induction to the school
  • Carefully considered CPD opportunities linking to our School Development Plan
  • Career development opportunities
  • The support of our experienced co-teachers and senior leadership team
  • A comprehensive Wellbeing programme including free membership to the Employee Assistance Program as well as Paycare assistance with a health cash plan
  • A friendly and committed school staff team
  • Teaching Monday- Thursday with pupils and then a half working day Friday focused on CPD, planning, preparation and assessment.

If you would like to be a part of our exciting community, at the forefront of progressive education and in a position to reimagine education and design a blueprint for the future, please apply here.
