Teaching Opportunity in Spain – EYFS/KS1 MONTESSORI TEACHERS

Eleven School is an International Montessori British School in Galicia, Spain. We are looking for an EYFS teacher (3-5 y.o) or a KS1 teacher (5-7 y.o).

This is a great opportunity for teachers who want to live abroad and participate in a new project with a dedicated team.

About Us

Well located in the vibrant city of Vigo in Galicia, Spain, Eleven School is a friendly, small and dynamic infant and primary school with students at the heart and aiming to grow to across KS2 in the near future.

Eleven School is a new project starting next September 2017, which will focus on 2 classrooms, preschool and primary. Each classroom will have 25 students between the ages of 3-7 and 2 teachers (one Spanish and one British). We are looking for staff who can create nurturing classrooms where each child could develop a healthy self-concept, positive values, strong skills and habits, a deep academic understanding and a curiosity and appreciation of nature and the world around.

About You

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and inspirational leader of students, staff, parents and the School community. With an emphasis on collaboration, you will be a positive contributor to the learning journey of each child.

  • Fluent English speaker.
  • EYFS or Primary qualifications (+QTS) with two or more years of experience would be an advantage
  • Montessori diploma and passion for the Montessori education.
  • Able to programme through the NC and develop the different subjects.
  • Able to plan and prepare lessons appropriate to the class and individuals.
  • Able to set and assess work to achieve individual progression and whole classroom improvement.
  • Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to work along with another teacher in the classroom.
  • The ability to promote a positive and supportive ethos for pupils and encourage and challenge them to achieve the best they can.
  • We will consider Music and Spanish knowledge an advantage.One academic year commitment.
