The Royal Grammar School Guildford in Qatar (RGSGQ) opened in September 2016 and currently educates girls and boys from Nursery to Year 8 on an attractive campus 15 minutes’ drive north of central Doha.

Based on the same principles as RGS Guildford, UK, RGSGQ has quickly gained a reputation for providing outstanding education and has seen enrolment increase across the School. Having established an excellent team of staff and outstanding facilities, the School will open Year 9 in September 2019, before growing to Year 13 in future years.

We present an exciting opportunity to play an important part in the development and growth of our school and are looking for innovative, dynamic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) specialists to join our team of outstanding educators at RGSGQ. The successful candidate will have a track record of providing high quality teaching and learning and be a highly effective, skilled Foundation Stage teacher with a secure understanding and knowledge of the Foundation Stage curriculum and Development Matters. Knowledge and experience working with pupils for whom English is an additional language would be beneficial.

In addition to providing teachers with the opportunity to be part of one of the UK’s most successful schools, we offer a competitive tax free salary, accommodation and transport allowances, private medical cover, annual return flights to home country, and end of service gratuity.

We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and are able to support teachers through their induction year.

Applicants should send a letter of application outlining their suitability for the role to Mr Downs, Head of School. A current CV, including recent photograph and two professional referees should also be included and emailed together with the letter of application to recruitment@rgsgq.com. Interviews will take place via Skype and in person in Doha and Guildford, in January and February 2019.

The RGS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including reference checks with previous employers and Disclosure and Barring Service check.
