Job overview

We would like to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational, full-time EYFS teacher to work in one of our Nursery or Reception classes and would like you to join our brilliant team at the start of the Autumn term.

King Richard III Infant and Nursery School is an exciting and vibrant school at the centre of Leicester.  (We're not just saying that - it really is!)

We’re proud to be an inclusive school, working effectively with children with a wide range of needs, cultures and languages.

Our children are happy and friendly, full of enthusiasm and a real keenness to learn.

Everyone who works with us is part of a fantastic and highly-valued team of professionals, supporting children and families who enrich everything we do.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational full-time teacher who can join the team in one of our brilliant, busy Nursery or Reception classes.

A sense of humour and a commitment to teamwork are essential to this position, which is permanent and will start in the Autumn term.

The post is suitable for NQTs.

We are looking for teachers who are:

  • Committed to providing high quality early learning experiences for children
  • Well-organised and able to show initiative
  • Enthusiastic and highly-motivated
  • Able to work collaboratively with all members of the school community
  • Able to motivate, inspire and lead others
  • Ready to ‘go the extra mile’ for our children and families

We can offer you a great team ethos, fantastic children, colleagues and families and the chance to make a real difference every day.

We can also offer effective support for your professional development, especially if you're at the start of your career.

Our children say:

“Our school is exciting – you can play and you can talk and you get to meet new friends and help other people. Learning here is really fun because you get better and better at it. Being at our school feels good – you get to do all sorts of things. The building is colourful and cool.

“Even if you’re new and you feel a little bit nervous and you don’t know anyone in the school, you get to make new friends and the grownups help a lot.

“If you need help with something that you can’t do, just ask someone and they’ll help you straight away so you can say thank you. If you have a bump, people help you to get back up and feel better. However you feel, there will be someone to help you.”

If you’d like to know more about us and about this role, we’d love you to get in touch.

Visits to the school are very welcome – please telephone or email us to make an appointment.

(Our last day of the Spring term is Friday 12th April if you want to visit before applying - which would be wise, so you have an idea of what a super school this is!)

Please call 0116 - 2621905

Closing date: 23:59,  April 28th 2019

Interviews to be held: Tbc, but soon after the closing date.

If you haven't heard from us by 10th May, please assume that your application to work with us has been unsuccessful on this occasion.
