WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU!

The Governors of Lark Hill Primary School are seeking to appoint an outstanding experienced Early Years teacher who will help us turn our good school into a GREAT school!   You will join the dedicated team in Early Years to teach in our 60 place Nursery class alongside our other Nursery teacher and 5 highly experienced TA3s.

Do you have a deep understanding of Early Years pedagogy with the creativity, passion and resilience to be able to inspire and motivate our young children?
Are you committed to our vision of high expectations and the relentless pursuit of excellence for all our learners whatever their starting points? You will have a good understanding of the needs of an inner city setting.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Has a track record within EYFS of delivering good or outstanding outcomes for all children.
  • Has a secure understanding of how to support young children’s well-being and involvement alongside high expectations for early literacy and maths outcomes
  • Has excellent organisational skills and be able to prioritise own and others work.
  • Can work alongside our other Nursery Teacher to plan teaching and learning for all the children inside and outside using the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
  • Can lead and support class, group and individual activities inside and outside
  • Can monitor children’s progress, assess achievement and record results and observations, sharing outcomes with others in school and parents
  • Is committed to supporting smooth and successful transitions from home, from other settings including our own 2 Year classroom and into our 3 Reception classes.
  • Has a ‘can do’ mentality with a desire to overcome challenges that arise.
  • Is a team-player with good communication and inter-personal skills
  • Most importantly, is committed to professional development and has high expectations of your own practice.

In return, we offer:

  • Wonderful children, who are keen to learn,
  • A warm and friendly working environment
  • A bespoke newly designed large EYFS outdoor space
  • An inclusive school, where high standards and excellence are valued.
  • Staff that work whole heartedly as a team to deliver the best possible outcomes for our children and families.
  • Governor and leadership team support and commitment to develop Lark Hill into an outstanding place to work and learn for all.
  • A personalised professional development plan, supported by a coaching and mentoring programme designed to enhance practice and prepare staff for career progression.

Our School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required.
