Job overview
‘Learning and Growing Together’ is our motto and we need a like-minded person to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate EYFS Teaching Assistant who can provide high-quality care, interactions and learning experiences for all of our young children. You will be working collaboratively with teachers to support children in their learning and development. Initially, the role will be based in Nursery, however, our staff are expected to be flexible and we review year groups annually to ensure the best provision for the children.
Main responsibilities:
• Build positive relationships with children and their families and act as a key person for allocated children.
• Prepare and deliver learning activities and experiences.
• Contribute to the development of the learning environment and curriculum.
• Work under the guidance of the class teacher to implement the EYFS curriculum.
• Delivering small group teaching and interventions.
• Ensure high quality interactions move children’s learning forward.
• Contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school/ nursery setting.
Whilst a Teaching Assistant qualification would be useful, it is not essential. This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant, someone new to the role or a graduate who is looking to move into teaching in the future.
Working hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:15am-4:00pm. Tuesdays 8:15am – 4:30pm. Term time only.
