EYFS Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and committed Teaching Assistant to join our happy and supportive Early Years team. 

You will be passionate about making a difference to the wellbeing and education of our children. You will be working collaboratively with teachers to support children in their learning and development. 

Initially, the role will be based in Reception, however our staff are all expected to be flexible and we review year groups annually to ensure best provision for the children. 

The successful applicant will provide a range of support including: classroom learning and pastoral support, delivery of small group or individual intervention programmes, covering the class as and when necessary,  and 1:1 support. The role will also include a lunchtime duty. 

Whilst a Teaching Assistant qualification would be useful, it is not essential. GCSEs at Grade C and above in English and mathematics are essential. This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant, someone new to the role or a graduate who is looking to move into teaching in the future. There will be opportunities for training and career development. 

All of our Teaching Assistants are encouraged to participate fully in the life of our school and you will be welcomed at all staff meetings, currently held after school on a Monday and INSET days. There are also opportunities to support clubs before and after school.
