Early Years Foundation Stage Staff

Windrush Church of England Primary School is looking to recruit staff for our new Early Years Foundation Stage Unit  for September 2021.

We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant for Reception (Grade 4) . The successful candidates will be a member of the Early Years Team and will work with the newly appointed headteacher and EYFS Lead to support the growth of this new school and community. We would consider a job share for this position.

We are looking for people who can provide excellent learning experiences and opportunities for children within a child centred environment.  The successful candidate must have experience of working with children either in a school or setting, be able to demonstrate excellent understanding of the Early Years Curriculum, and be caring and nurturing in their approach. They will have the ability to forge excellent relationships with colleagues, parents and most importantly, our children. They must be a team player and be able to demonstrate good literacy, numeracy and IT skills as well as having a creative vision to ensure inspiring and motivating learning is developed.

We want staff who aim to ensure every child, regardless of need, is given every opportunity to achieve their best whilst at Windrush CE School. The full Job Descriptions / Person Specifications are attached separately.

About Windrush Church of England Primary School

Windrush Church of England Primary School is a brand new school with a nursery that will cater for children aged two to 11, opening in Windrush Place, Witney, in September 2021. 

The Free School has been commissioned by Oxfordshire County Council to meet the need of several new housing developments in the town, eventually adding over 1500 homes to Witney. The school is purpose built by the consortium of developers on Windrush Place. 

The school’s capacity is inclusive of 8 places reserved for specialist resourced provision for children with communication and interaction needs (autism and speech and language difficulties), physical or sensory needs.  

The school will be part of River Learning Trust (RLT), a Multi-Academy Trust responsible for a growing number of schools and a school centred initial teacher training (SCITT) provider within Oxfordshire and Swindon. 

RLT is committed to the professional learning and development of staff with high-quality training in-school and through the Oxfordshire Teaching Schools Alliance.
