Start Date: ASAP

Hours: 25 hours per week Monday to Friday – 13.30 to 18.30, 52 weeks per year

Contract: Permanent

Location: Maritime Academy, Twydall

Thinking Facilities have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to support the Facilities Manager with overseeing the day-to-day tasks. Your primary location will be based at the Maritime Academy. 

You will be a responsible person and competent in all aspects of site maintenance. It is imperative that our Site Team successfully manage our school premises and associated facilities by ensuring that the premises are secure, safe and well maintained at all times to reflect the standards of educations and behaviour within the school.

What you will need to succeed:

  • For a full list of responsibilities please see the attached job description and person specification Previous experience as a caretaker or similar
  • Responsible for the security and facilities management services onsite
  • Practical skills in maintenance and cleaning
  • Experience of managing Health & Safety
  • Key holder responsibilities
  • Experience of working within an Academy/School is desirable
