We are looking for a Facilities Manager to join the team at Acorn Park School in Banham, Norfolk to be responsible for the provision of a safe, secure, well presented environment to our children and young people, staff, parents and other stakeholders. 

Acorn Park is a Special Educational Needs (SEN) School and Residential home within the Acorn Care and Education and NFA Group, the UK’s Largest, Independent Children’s services group. It specialises in communication and learning challenges associated with Autism. The school and homes are within a private, 30 acre Estate situated within Norfolk’s picturesque and tranquil countryside. 

Acorn Park is part of the Acorn Care and Education Group, the second largest private sector provider of special needs education in the country operating 19 schools for children and young people who have a range of social, emotional and mental health needs and also pupils who have been diagnosed with autism or demonstrate behaviours associated with autism.


About the role

The Facilities Manager will sit on the senior leadership team and will contribute to the growth and development of the service. The successful candidate will be Accountable for the delivery of quality, efficient, collaborative support services to the Care and Education teams. You will also manager all staff employed within the facilities team

You will undertake full reviews of the existing estates, catering and domestic teams and make recommendations on how best to deliver services, including identifying deliverables, team structures and efficiencies. The facilities Manager will be accountable for site safety, health and environmental compliance and will support the senior leadership team in the continued development of best process and policy.


Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who has previous multi-building Facilities Management experience. The successful candidate will have comprehensive experience of Risk Assessments and Health and Safety management. We need someone who can build effective relationships within the Group and wider community. Relevant professional qualifications or membership of a professional body are desirable but not essential.
