South Thames College is now looking for a Facilities Manager to join our Team, predominantly based at our Merton campus, but will be required to travel to other Colleges during periods of absence or leave.


Joining us as a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the procurement, monitoring and reporting of our Facilities Contracted Services, working closely with a team of site-based Facilities Managers and our Head of Facilities, ensuring contracted services are delivered to a high standard, meeting legal, health and safety and insurance requirements.


Work will include drafting tenders and contract documents, to include service specifications to facilitate best value procurement, management of performance monitoring of Contracted Services, whilst monitoring and reporting performance against set KPIs, reviewing when necessary.


We are looking for a highly self-motivated individual who has a positive ‘can-do’ approach. Reliable and well presented, you will have experience of project and change management along with a good understanding of relevant health and safety requirements. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to influence people who are not part of your team and be able to relate to young people, parents, colleagues and external 3rd parties.


With relevant professional qualifications in CIPS Level 3 Procurement and Facilities Management or a related discipline, you will be able to find solutions to seemingly complex issues. The role also requires an individual who has a professional and approachable attitude and who has experience of managing staff. You will need to be flexible over working hours and hold a full UK driving licence.
