As Faculty Director of Maths, you will lead, develop and manage the effective delivery of an outstanding curriculum, which enables the highest level of student progress and attainment. You will lead the professional community of Maths teachers, contribute to the all-through maths curriculum development and promote outstanding teaching and learning and a strong school culture, within a nurturing and rigorous environment.

You will:
• Lead, develop and line manage the faculty, through regular meetings, coaching, the provision of CPD, inset training days, supervising NQTs, ITT students and support staff
• Work with the network Maths lead and maths subject leads from across the network, harnessing and developing skills and ensuring that the maths curriculum and provision is excellent
• Model outstanding teaching and lead collaborative planning and development, including the sharing of resources and best practice within the department
• Be responsible for tracking student progress across the faculty, analysing all relevant data to make data-driven changes to the curriculum design and intervention strategies and using the data to monitor the performance of subject staff

• A skilled class-room practitioner
• Interested in the all-through maths curriculum from EYFS to Y11 and beyond
• Experienced in designing, implementing and evaluating effective, imaginative and stimulating schemes of work
• Experienced in leading successful enrichment programmes including establishing a high achieving department within a large school
• Experienced in interpreting complex student data to drive lesson planning and student progress
• Resilient, motivated and committed to achieving excellence

Ark Victoria Academy is a large all-through school, which was judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted in May 2019. Teaching and leadership are strengths and teachers demonstrate expert subject knowledge. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum through each stage of education. Facilities
We have excellent facilities which include an astro-turf sports pitch, a four-court sports hall, a recording studio, two art/DT rooms, a dance studio, a fitness suite and a performance/school hall.
