Faculty Leader for Design and Technology (TLR 2B £5100)
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational teacher with the skills, experience and energy to lead this thriving Faculty from September 2017. The Faculty teaches Resistant Materials, Textiles Technology and Food Preparation & Nutrition at KS 3, 4 and 5, and Health & Social Care at KS 4 and 5. This is an exciting time to be joining Gosford Hill School as it enters the next phase of its journey under the leadership of its new Headteacher. We are very proud of our school, but you can only learn so much from reading about us. We therefore encourage you to come and visit, in order to experience what makes our school special. We welcome applications from both Subject Leaders, looking to make the next step in their career, or equally from ambitious main scale teachers looking for a new challenge, who feel that they have the passion, drive and determination to develop their leadership skills in order to make a significant impact on the learning of our young people through their leadership of the Faculty team. Gosford Hill School is situated in Kidlington, on the north western edge of Oxford near to the new Oxford Parkway Station (a 50 minute journey from London). We are also fortunate to be at the gateway to the rural Cotswolds. The successful candidate will ideally be a Resistant Materials or Food specialist. If you are interested in the post, please complete a Gosford Hill School application form and include a letter (of no more than 2 sides of A4) outlining your reasons for applying, your suitability for the post and the impact that you would make on our Design and Technology Faculty. Application forms and further details are available on the school’s website or from Nicola Cooke, Headteacher’s PA (tel. 01865 374971; email firstname.lastname@example.org The TLR structure in school is currently under review. The closing date for receipt of applications is Sunday 26th March 2017 . Interview date week commencing 3rd April 2017.
