We are looking for a lively and engaging teacher to lead our fantastic English and Drama department. The team, which comprises 9 English teachers and 1 Drama Teacher, 2 HLTAs and an administrative assistant is highly successful in every respect. You will lead a remarkable team of professionals who have established excellent schemes of learning and good assessment practice. We believe in offering a truly rich curriculum so that our pupils experience the best of English literature and develop as confident communicators.
We are looking for a leader who will guide the team so that our pupils continue to achieve great results and our staff continue to thrive professionally. As a member of the middle leadership team you will join a group of positive and collaborative colleagues and will be very well supported by an experienced line manager. This post could be suitable for an experienced middle leader or an ambitious and talented teacher looking to take their first head of department role. You will have access to the very best CPD; this vacancy arises as a result of the promotion of the incumbent to a Senior Leadership role.
