Derby Moor Academy is an oversubscribed, 11 - 18, multicultural school with 1,507 on roll. At Derby Moor we take great pride in the facilities that we offer our students.  Our school was re-built in 2013 and now features a welcoming entrance plaza, state of the art technology and a diverse range of learning spaces and sports facilities. 

The Computing and Business team is made up of four teachers, we are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic teacher of Computing to lead the faculty and support a passionate team, who are committed to supporting students achieve their full potential. This is an exciting opportunity to join and lead a department dedicated to improving outcomes, aspirations and life chances of young people.

We are seeking to appoint an individual who:

  • Has strong leadership skills through which they inspire and develop a team 
  • Has the ability to teach Computing across the age range from KS3 to KS5
  • Has knowledge of curriculum developments within their subject 
  • Has the ability and desire to contribute positively to the wider school community
  • Has a proven record of influencing innovation and change within their current role, with an in-depth knowledge of educational practice gained through relevant experience
  • Will always go the extra mile to support our students to succeed
