Job overview

Faculty Leader of English Vacancy

This is a superb opportunity for an outstanding teacher of English to lead a highly effective and very successful department. The English results in 2016 and 2017 were very strong. The exceptional performance in 2016 placed the department in the top 10% nationally in terms of progress.

This is an exciting time to join the school as we have recently secured (Feb 2017) a ‘good’ judgement from our most recent Ofsted inspection. The inspection team noted that:

‘Outcomes were good because of high standards and expectations, strong attitudes to learning and good or better teaching.’

The ideal candidate will be someone who will motivate, challenge and inspire students to be the best that they can be; someone who is enthusiastic, resourceful, has high expectations and is committed to the distinctive ethos of our school.

The successful candidate will also benefit from:

  • A supportive and nurturing environment that provides high quality, professional, developmental experiences and opportunities
  • Joining a team of highly skilled individuals, who consistently deliver the highest quality lessons.

Our Lady’s is a successful school with an excellent reputation. We strive for academic excellence, but also offer students a vast array of enrichment opportunities. We pride ourselves on meeting the needs of each individual student and ensuring positive outcomes for young people of all abilities.

If you are excited by this opportunity, can work effectively as part of a team and are dedicated to making a tangible difference to the lives of the young people with whom you work, then please download the application pack directly or from the school website at www.olhs-manchester.org.uk
