Faculty Leader - Science

We have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational leader who has the ability, confidence and talent to lead the Science Faculty. This is a key strategic leadership position for a middle leader with the enthusiasm and ambition to make a difference.

All leaders at Dame Elizabeth have a proven track record of consistently good or outstanding teaching, as well as a proven track record of excellent pupil outcomes. Our Science faculty is fantastically well resourced and has everything in place to teach an excellent curriculum. We are always striving to improve and know that our results in science can and should be even better.

All teachers and leaders receive tailored CPD to secure outstanding teaching and develop leadership skills. We have an ambitious staff culture where everyone works to provide the very best for our pupils.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a good or outstanding classroom practitioner with an excellent understanding of how children learn
• Has a proven track record of raising attainment through their teaching and learning, making a positive impact within and beyond their own classroom.
• Has successfully worked, with measurable impact, in a leadership role such as second in faculty.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate, inspire, lead and support colleagues.
• Has a commitment to working strategically as part of a team and working collaboratively with the Leadership Team, colleagues, parents and governors.
• Has a clear vision and commitment to school improvement.
