Faculty Teaching and Learning Assistant (FTLA)

Required for a January 2023 start. Temporary contract until 31st August 2023 in the first instance. 36 hours per week term time only 8.15am - 4.30pm. Scale H5, £27,352 pa which pro rata is £23,290 pa.

You will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher and for supporting the learning of students in your attached faculty. These abilities will be assessed at interview. 

We are looking for people educated to graduate level with an interest in how young people learn and enthusiasm for working in a school. Previous experience in schools is not necessary. 

This role would be particularly suitable for someone thinking of a career in teaching. There are many and varied CPD opportunities available and previous FTLAs have successfully gained places on PGCE courses and progressed to become qualified teachers.
