Job overview

We are looking to appoint a Family Support and Attendance Officer who will work to support the attendance, wellbeing and progress of targeted students, by working with them directly and including their families in the process.

Archway Learning Trust, previously Bluecoat Academies Trust was formed in April 2014 as a result of the very long and successful history of Bluecoat Academy. The Trust comprises of Bluecoat Aspley Academy, Bluecoat Sixth Form, Bluecoat Wollaton Academy, Bluecoat Beechdale Academy, Bluecoat Primary Academy, The Nottingham Emmanuel School and Sixth Form, The Long Eaton School, Lees Brook Community School, Alvaston Moor Academy and the Bluecoat SCITT Alliance (School Centred Initial Teacher Training).

Bluecoat Primary Academy has been growing from just two classes in 2015 through to its final stage of growth taking place in September 2021 with 420 primary pupils (60 per year group) in addition to a 26 place Nursery and a small Focus Provision for pupils with ASD. It has a strong set of values that are at the heart of its work and there is a clear vision for the future.

The children we serve at Bluecoat are from very diverse backgrounds and so our approach needs to be flexible, understanding and adaptive whilst staying true to our strong Christian ethos and maintaining focus on our core values. We offer a nurturing environment to our pupils as well as our staff. Staff wellbeing is important at our school and within our Trust. We utilise a range of strategies to ensure children and adults alike are able to thrive.

The growth and development of our Multi-Academy Trust makes this an excellent opportunity to join us, as we seek to serve a growing number of young people across the region.

In return, we can offer:

  • Archway benefits to include shopping discounts and competitions
  • A free and confidential employee assistance programme offering counselling and advice
  • Generous Local Government pension contributions and additional benefits
  • Access to discounted travel schemes
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Comprehensive training and support
  • Opportunities to develop new skills and progress your career
  • Eye care voucher scheme
  • Free flu vaccine
  • Access to e-learning and development
