We are seeking to appoint a Family Support Worker to work in partnership with the school, families, parents, and carers to improve outcomes for pupils. This is an exciting and important role that involves implementing a range of creative strategies to prevent barriers to learning through early intervention. This may include giving parenting advice, holding coffee mornings and parenting classes, working with children, attending meetings, and setting up teams to support vulnerable families.
The successful candidate must be warm and approachable as well as flexible and hard-working, and will demonstrate an ability to use their initiative. Previous experience of supporting vulnerable families and children will be an advantage.
