Salary:        SO2 Point 32-34 (pro rata)

Contract Type:   Full Time

Contract Term:   Permanent

Hours:     37 hours, Term Time + 2 weeks  

Responsible to:       Designated Safeguarding Lead, Principal and Governors

Key Relationships:   Parents/Carers, students, all staff including Senior Leadership team, 

social care and the Local Authority.

Pinkwell is a large and vibrant community school with delightful children and extensive grounds. We are seeking to appoint a talented, effective and enthusiastic Family Worker who will be able to complement our already dedicated hardworking team. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Safeguarding Team and will work in partnership with parents, children, school staff and the local authority to support families and to promote excellent levels of attendance and reduce levels of absence. You will come from a police or social care background with thorough knowledge of Early Help Assessment and have Level 3 safeguarding training. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your own initiative. We are looking for a calm nature who will positively support our families’ attendance. A working knowledge of ScholarPack would be desirable, as well as knowledge of the education welfare system.
