The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated female physical education teacher who will join a dynamic and committed department to teach Physical Education. The PE department is extremely well resourced, with state of the art facilities and several new activity and Astroturf areas. PE is taught to all pupils across all year groups and many pupils also study the OCR Cambridge National in Sport Studies during Key Stage 4. There is a great commitment from pupils towards PE within the College. A wide variety of extra-curricular activities take place early in the morning, at lunch time and at the end of the college day. Many pupils are enthusiastic to participate in these.

The successful female applicant will be creative, well organised and will actively assist in the further development of PE within the College, contributing to the vibrant programme of extra-curricular support provided to all pupils. The post is suitable for newly qualified teachers.  All teachers at Wembley High receive a comprehensive, structured training programme, delivered by highly trained mentors and bespoke to the individual’s needs. The role is also ideal for individuals wishing to take their first steps in education.  Candidates with a good quality degree and sports background wishing to become a qualified PE teacher can be supported to achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) at the College.
