Female Secondary Music Teacher for August 2023

Durham School for Girls Doha is seeking to appoint flexible and inspirational Female Music teacher to join our High Performance learning team school for August 2023.

Durham is a fully accredited BSO and QNSA school and the first All Female International HPL World Class School. 

Your role will be joining the Arts department and helping to raise standards of both IGCSE and AS levels . We are a non selective school and have set high standards for our girls with both academic and pastoral expectations. With in your department, you will be expected to be an active member, supporting and developing the team with innovative planning and accurate assessment. Experience in KS4 and 5 is optional.

We are looking for teachers who are ready for the challenge, passionate about learning and have the vision and flexibility to become part of one of the most exciting projects in Qatar. There may be opportunities for leadership and responsibility, so please comment on that in the application.

International teaching is returning to some normality and it has been exciting to see the girls back and learning. Durham School is a unique school in Doha and we want you to be part of this exciting team. 

Durham School for Girls opened in 2019 and we now have nearly 1200 students . The school will expand again in 2021 with Year 11 and 12 and the first Year 13 students will start in 2022 with an expected growth to 1300 students. Our first cohort of IGCSE and AS students took exams in 2022 and we have seen our first group of graduates offered and attending top Universities such as St Andrews, Carnegie Mellon and Qatar University.

Following in the footsteps of Durham School UK, Durham School for Girls Doha aims to continue the heritage of strong pastoral care, inclusion and individual progress that make the School “Distinctively Durham”. Within the school there will be a strong ethos based on the school philosophy and values.
