We are offering a 24 month Finance Assistant Apprentice leading to, two, level 2 awards, Finance Assistant level 2 and AAT level 2. On successful completion of the apprenticeship, at the end of 24 months, you will become a permanent member of staff. Starting 4th January 2023, we are looking for someone who is numerate, accurate, highly organised and looking for a career in finance. Working Monday - Friday 08:30 - 16:30, over 42 weeks per year, you will be full immersed in the work of the finance department along side dedicated training time within the working week.

There is flexibility in regard to start and finish times each day and you will be required to work 38 weeks term time, 5 non-pupil days and the last 3 weeks of the summer holidays. You will not be required to work any of the other school holiday periods.

You will be responsible for all aspects of ordering and invoicing along with a variety of other finance and school-based tasks. We are looking for someone who can work under pressure and to deadlines, with a high degree of accuracy. Level 4 minimum (or equivalent) in Maths & English is essential.

Year 3          £19804 (on successful completion of the apprenticeship)

Year 2 & 3 salaries will be subject to any annual pay award as agreed by our governing body.

Clyst Vale Community College is a mixed, non-denominational academy secondary school and sixth form for students aged 11-18. It is located in Broadclyst, near Exeter, in the county of Devon, and has about 900 pupils.

The academy is operated by the Clyst Vale Academy Trust and is specialist in science, maths and ICT.
