Finance Assistant

St Mary’s Independent School is looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and experienced individual to establish and develop an efficient and professional finance capability internal to the School. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing the purchase ledger function, the monthly payroll function, oversight of the nominal ledger, and other general administrative duties.

The appointment of the Finance Assistant is pivotal to the success of the School providing a comprehensive service across the School, supporting and advising staff in all aspects of finance, and providing administrative support to the Assistant Head of Finance and Head of Finance & Operations.

The successful applicant must be a credible finance professional who is comfortable with the wider, more general responsibilities incumbent on a member of the non-teaching team within an educational organization. The role will report to the Assistant Head of Finance, who has overall responsibility for all financial aspects of the School.
