Havant Academy are seeking a new Finance Assistant.  We are excited to be offering this opportunity preferably for somebody with experience of educational finance to further develop their skills in the management of our academy finances. They will play a significant role in the planning, monitoring and efficiency of all aspects of the academy finances.

The successful candidate will need to be a stickler for detail and relentless in their search for efficiency and best value.  

The post will involve working very closely with the Headteacher and the Business Manager, advising on setting the academy’s annual budget but also, and most importantly, assisting with expenditure against our income across the academic year.

Experience of working with educational finance is desirable but it is essential that candidates have experience and skills within financial management which are easily transferable to education finance.  It is important that the successful candidate has a willingness and desire to learn new knowledge and skills where appropriate.  

This post is absolutely key to both the strategic direction and the operational management of the academy, and the successful candidate will enjoy playing a significant role in the future successes of our academy. 

This position is permanent, 15 hours per week, term time plus 3 weeks (42 working weeks, 47.90 paid weeks) Actual salary starts at £7,913
