Job overview

In this exciting role, you will get a great introduction to the Finance function and will be given the opportunity to take on real responsibilities, work with senior colleagues and contribute to projects across several schools. 

At the same time as learning a fantastic range of new skills in the Finance and Education sector, you will be given the opportunity to apply for funding to study an accountancy qualification such as AAT, ACCA or CIMA. 

Whilst it would be helpful if you had knowledge of this sector and experience of Finance, it would not be a barrier to any applicant, as we will offer full support and training to help you excel in this role.

Key Features:

  • Salary Band: £20,903 - £21,748 with annual increments (within the band) and inflation increases as negotiated by the National Joint Council. 
  • Pension: option to join an increasingly rare and valuable defined benefit Local Government Pension Scheme (we recognise continuous service from most Local Authorities and related bodies). 
  • Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays.

Outwood Academy City Fields is an 11-16 academy based in the friendly cathedral city of Wakefield.  The Academy was rated Good by Ofsted in March 2022. We joined the Outwood family of schools in 2018.
