About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our welcoming Finance Department as a Finance Business Partner, reporting to the Deputy Head of Finance. You will be an integral and proactive member of both the Finance Team and the wider College.

We are seeking to appoint a Finance Business Partner to assist in the provision of high quality and professional financial support and information to revenue and capital budget managers, as well as key stakeholders across the Salford City College Group. You will play a key role in the College’s annual cycle of budget setting, production of monthly management accounts, quarterly forecasts and financial year-end.

We are looking for a colleague with a proactive can-do attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to produce and reconcile complex spreadsheets.

Candidates should hold a minimum of either AAT Level 4 or an accounting degree (or equivalent qualification/experience). For candidates who are actively studying for their CCAB / CIMA qualification, or wish to start the qualification, a comprehensive study package can be provided as part of this role, including tuition course funding and study leave covering elements of tuition time, exam days and pre-exam study time.

Our ideal candidate will have education or other public/third sector experience. However, applications from candidates with relevant experience from any sector are welcomed.

You will have experience of management accounting, in particular providing support to budget holders and of producing monthly management information and variance analysis. We are looking for a strong communicator, who is positive about change and innovation.

This position would suit someone who is looking for a new challenge or who is ready for the next step up in their career.
