Finance Manager / Bursar

The Board of Governors of Altrincham Preparatory School for Boys is seeking to appoint an experienced individual to be our full time Finance Manager / Bursar.

APS is a successful and thriving private preparatory day school in the heart of Trafford with currently around 350 boys from age 2 to 11. APS is a private limited company run by the Board of Directors whose members also form the Board of Governors. We are an all-boys school and proud of our heritage. Established in 1936, our ethos and curriculum are driven by a single goal: to deliver the best possible education for boys in our area.

The ideal candidate:

You will have a proven track record of financial management, ideally within education. You will hold a finance or accountancy qualification at ACCA, CIMA equivalence or greater. You will be experienced in accountancy procedures and practices and have sound IT skills including Microsoft Office and other financial software used by the school.

Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
