Job overview

You’ll report to the Head of Finance and manage our finance assistants. The focus of the role will be responsible for regulating key processes in the Finance Office and providing cover for Payroll and Pensions administration.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, committed and have excellent attention to detail. Experience in a finance role is essential and the successful candidate would be AAT qualified or working towards. Having payroll and pensions experience would be an advantage. Key duties are as follows but not limited to:

  • To Support the Head of Finance in providing a high quality, accurate and responsive Finance Service to the College
  • To ensure all internal and deadlines are met to a high quality and workloads are managed effectively
  • To build and maintain positive relationships with internal Colleagues to embed and regulate financial policies
  • To liaise with all external parties where necessary
  • To line manage finance staff and conduct regular appraisals
  • To cover payroll and pensions duties as requested.
  • Responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Finance ledgers and accounting system
