The focus of this role is to review all accounts receivable to ensure that debts are paid within the College’s policy and to ensure that all timelines are met. Other office duties may be assigned as appropriate. You will show initiative, be a skillful negotiator and liaise with the College’s debtors with tact and empathy. This is a term-time position with 6 weeks worked during the school holidays (refer position description).


Xavier Catholic College is a co-educational P-12 College owned and administered by Brisbane Catholic Education which opened in 2003. Our enrolment is approximately 1100 students. The College takes its name from St Francis Xavier, who along with St Ignatius of Loyola, was one of the founders of the Society of Jesus, the Jesuits.  We have adopted Ignatian spirituality as the basis for the ethos and culture of the College. The Jesuit Order has developed throughout the world a network of approximately 2000 educational institutions – schools, universities, and literacy centres.  As a Jesuit Partner School, Xavier is a member of this network and one of nine Jesuit Network schools in Australia.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • currently hold or be eligible to hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.


Estimated Start Date:

Position Tenure:   Continuing

Weeks Worked:  School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term):  

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required:   38 hrs/wk, Mon to Thu 8:00 to 4:15 and Fri 8:00 to 3:30

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate:   School Officer Level 4 - $29.93 per hour

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
