The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and dedicated Finance Officer to join our close-knit Finance team on a permanent basis. We will consider applicants looking for either a full-time or part-time role, with working patterns to be negotiated.
The ideal candidate will be an outstanding communicator with excellent organisational and administrative skills.
The successful candidate will be primarily based at Accrington and Rossendale College but may be required to travel across sites.

What You Will Be Doing:

- Support the Purchase Ledger role by regularly reviewing the invoice register, analysing and following up any outstanding credits or invoices and support with reconciliations on a monthly basis.

- Tracking and monitoring of the PSA return

- Initiating spending via the college credit card

- Maintain the College Charity File

What We Are Looking For:

- Level 3 Finance relevant qualification or above

- 4 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above

- Experience of working to deadlines and set Financial Regulations

- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word; Excel; Outlook and Teams

- The ability to multi task and prioritise workload

About Nelson and Colne College

Nelson and Colne College, located in the town of Nelson, Lancashire, offers further education to 1,600 full-time students and 3,500 part-time adults. The college was founded during the reorganisation of education in Pendle in the early 1970s and created by the merger of several local sixth forms. 

Recent investments have included a £2m engineering facility, an all-weather sports pitch and gym, fully equipped science laboratories, and student study and social spaces. In January 2017, Nelson and Colne College launched a university centre to offer a range of higher education programmes in East Lancashire and beyond.
