Job overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Officer to join our school's administrative team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the school's financial activities, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing accurate and timely financial information to the school management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day financial activities of the school, including accounts payable and receivable, budget preparation, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing the school's financial activities, including tax and accounting regulations.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the school management, including monthly management accounts, financial statements, and budget variance analysis.
- Monitor and analyze the school's financial performance, identify trends, and recommend actions to improve financial efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage the procurement process, including identifying suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures for the school, ensuring they are up-to-date and in line with best practices.
- Work closely with other members of the school's administrative team to ensure that financial information is accurate and timely.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a finance role, preferably in an educational institution.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing financial activities in schools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
