Job overview
We are looking to appoint an experienced, customer focussed Financial Accountant to manage the team responsible for Payroll, Pensions, Bursary and Cashier. As a Finance Department, we place great importance on working with our ‘customers’ in order to deliver a high level of service. As well as assisting in the preparation of year-end schedules and annual operational budgets, this role will involve working with budget holders to provide support and guidance in financial efficiency. The post-holder will also be required to deputise for the Head of Finance as necessary.
With a CCAB (or finalist) qualification, the successful candidate must have previous experience of managing people, with the proven ability to co-ordinate team activities to deliver to deadlines. We are looking for an individual who naturally takes ownership of working through problems to achieve successful outcomes, and who places utmost importance on accuracy and attention to detail.
