First Line ICT Engineer

Full Time | 40 Hours a week | 52 weeks per year

The Post

We are looking to appoint, as soon as possible, a First Line ICT Engineer to assist in the day to day operation of the ICT Services Department, supporting the Head of Computing. The role will include ensuring the School’s ICT network operates effectively, undertaking maintenance and upgrades with the ICT contract supplier and maintaining registers of equipment, applying Health and Safety procedures to all aspects of ICT support.

The successful candidate will have GCSE (or equivalent) grades A-C in English and Maths and ideally, an appropriate ICT qualification. They should be a competent user of technology and systems and ideally be able to use their experience in the IT industry to further enhance the ICT support services in the school.

The School

Ashfold is an established co-educational Preparatory School for around 280 children aged 3 - 13+ set in a beautiful Jacobean mansion with its own thirty acre estate in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside just twenty minutes from Oxford, Thame and Aylesbury.

The school has expanded significantly over the last fifteen years and invested heavily in its infrastructure and support systems. We aim to give every child the firmest possible grounding in the core academic subjects, within a small caring family community where children both know each other and all of the staff.
