Fitness Instructor
Required from September/Early October 2022
Monday to Friday: 8.30am-5.00pm with flexibility where necessary to cover events and activities, 40 hours per week, term-time only
A suitably qualified Fitness Instructor with an affinity with young people (16-19 year olds) is required to staff our high specification gym based in the sports centre. Applicants should be qualified to NVQ level 3 (preferably REPS / CIMSPA accredited at level 3) and either hold a First Aid Certificate or be willing to undergo training. Experience of producing sport specific programmes and delivering group exercise would be an advantage.
The full time salary range for the role is £21,230 - £23,367 pa, depending on relevant qualifications and experience. The actual annual salary, based on 0.94 FTE, is £19,962 - £21,971 pa, approx.

The Principal Emma Young is supported by the Senior Management Team. The college employs around 200 teaching and support staff who are committed to supporting students to achieve their goals through a broad mix of programmes and extra-curricular activities. There is a strong sense of community at the College with a lively, vibrant feel to the campus.

CPD
We understand that our success comes from developing our staff and supporting them to deliver innovative and individualised lessons. Godalming, along with other sixth form colleges in Surrey & Sussex belongs to a consortium known as S7 who work closely together to provide specifically tailored training and development for staff and facilitate meetings for specific groups and an annual teaching conference.
