This is a great opportunity for those wishing to work with adult learners, developing their new skills and passions, be it for hobby related subjects, learning a new language or other self-development, health or as a means to retrain and build their confidence towards future employment ambitions.

These are adult courses, which are specifically designed to support mature students, and are well established in the area with many learners returning year on year to develop their artistic skills to extremely high levels of practice.

The successful candidates will have relevant subject knowledge and skills, a recognised subject qualification and related experience in the area.  Teaching experience is also essential, ideally with adult learners.

You will be responsible for designing and delivering a structured teaching programme, to directly meet learners’ needs, for each course you teach, using the appropriate documentation. As a Lecturer you will need to develop specialist resources with the support of the Adult Learning Manager.  You will also carry out initial screening of learners, set appropriate learning objectives for each learner and review these as the course progresses. Your attendance will also be required at team and other meetings to support Curriculum development.

You will hold a teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards it as part of the College Personal Development scheme.
