ABC Teachers are looking to appoint a teacher of Food Technology for a full-time role supply role starting February 2019 to cover a maternity leave until July 2019.

The school is a much-improved inner-city academy and is situated just off the Hagley Road and serves a vibrant and diverse community.  This is an excellent opportunity to work with mainly GCSE groups at an important time during the build up to their exams.

About the Role: 

• Responsible for developing and wring schemes of work

• Responsible for monitoring progress across KS4 Food Technology.

• Holding and attending departmental meetings

• Ensure adequate provision for students of all abilities

• This is a long-term supply role until July 2019

• You must be able a qualified and specialised teacher of Food Technology with a PGCE and QTS.

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

• Be eligible to work in the UK (must have a valid visa) 

• Must hold relevant teaching qualifications (PGCE / Bachelor of Education) 

• Have previous experience teaching the UK curriculum 

• Have recent classroom experience as teacher in the UK (essential)

• You must be able to provide references covering last 5 years including any gaps in employment. 

• Be confident in using ICT in their professional role 

• Have excellent communication skills 

• Possess valid DBS
