The role

As a Food Technology teacher, you will be responsible for securing the standard of learning and achievement of all students within this subject. Food at Carter Community School is taught to KS3 and is an option in KS4. The Technology rooms are superb and offer a great practical learning environment.

We’re focused on improving our drive to encourage every student to strive to achieve the very best they can be.

If you share our ambition and are an outstanding classroom practitioner, it’s an exciting time to join our school which may present future opportunities particularly with the school being projected to double in size over the next 5 years.

About You

Are you an outstanding Food Technology Teacher looking for an opportunity to join a dedicated and professional team? Or maybe you are an NQT looking to start your teaching career in a great school and fantastic location. If so, come and join our community.

United Learning

Carter Community School is part of United Learning, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.

Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.

As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits, and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. Our academies each have at least eight INSET days per year (with three of those solely dedicated to planning), and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. It's an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’.
